September Update

Reaching Here

Greetings from the middle of the USA.

God has allowed us to travel this great country a little these past several months. From taking grandkids home and using the opportunity to be in several good churches to present our ministry, to having our daughter and her husband take us on a cruise for our 45 Anniversary.  The Lord is so Good. We have also done some remodeling at Rose Rock Baptist and looked at trying to revive a struggling church in our area. The more we plant the bigger the field seems.

We have not been able to fill our calendar very well, but God has given us some good opportunities to share what we are trying to accomplish as well as encourage other pastors to do the same thing.  We have a good crop of preacher boys preparing for the ministry but do not have any that will be ready to take out for at least a year. That’s one of the reasons we feel like now is the best time to try to raise some support. I am still overseeing the church in Noble, but they are doing very well. I have still been helping them finish remodeling their buildings but hope to be done with them soon.

We had stopped into a little church that we have tried to have fellowship with over the past several years.

They run around 10 people. The Pastor ask us to help as he is in his late 70s and feels like it is time to step down. After meeting with the people, it became apparent they were pretty comfortable where they were at. Pray for Fellowship Baptist Church that they can get their eyes open to what they could be doing.  I tried to gracefully step out, but I still pray eventually they will allow us to help them.

I also ask you to pray as we begin to target some key areas it the OKC area with some advertising concerning “Answers for life”.

Answers for life is a series of issues such as anger that my son has put together in article style, with the intent of helping individuals as well as possibly getting them involved in Bible study. We hope to find prospects is key areas to focus on as we determine where we will start the next church. Ultimately it is in God’s hands.

Thank you for your prayers and support. You are a blessing.
